Rebar-Sticks Company Info
When George Boylan was asked by his first grade teacher what he wanted to be when he grew up, naturally he did not tell her he wanted to be a manufacturer and distributor of rebar sticks.
Because, well, he wasn’t old enough to know those words.
So when he informed Ms. Milligan that he wanted to ‘put the skeletons in the buildings’ it was alarming enough to warrant a call home to his parents, who laughingly explained that little George was evidently gearing up to continue the family tradition of rebar sticks excellence.
With George being an only child and the lone heir to the rebar sticks throne, his excitement was welcome news to his parents, his father Harold in particular, who had been running the company for over 25 years. With over 40 employees and countless engineers, contractors, construction crews and buildings relying on his products, Harold had always hoped to pass the rebar sticks business on to his son so he could keep an eye on things long after his retirement.
George completed a degree in structural engineering and did a four-year stint with the marines before returning home to take over the production and distribution of rebar sticks. Since then George has expanded operations to double the number of employees and provide rebar for any job site, regardless of distance and regardless of whether ten rebar sticks are required, or 100,000. Harold has stayed with the company as a consultant, contributing his knowledge, overseeing production, and just generally getting in the way at the rebar sticks plant.
